Police are praising the quick actions of parents who took two drunk young girls to hospital.
Officers believe that had it not been for their actions the result could have been far more serious.
The two 12-year-old girls had managed to obtain alcohol during the afternoon of Saturday June 13.By 6pm that evening they were both in hospital.
A 19-year-old woman has been charged in connection with buying alcohol for two underage girls and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The police have asked If you suspect somebody is buying drink on behalf of somebody under 18 then contact them immediately. If you are in any doubt do not serve them.
